The other tip for food for these stages is that the recipes are the same, the jars are just different sizes. Buy the stage 2 in the stage 1 kinds (single foods – apples, pears, sweet potatoes, etc) since they’re the same price but bigger. If your baby is only eating the amount of stage 1, you get two meals for the same price.
