Last week we spent a week in McCall Idaho with our family. We spend a lot of time on the water, but also played a lot of games as a family. My kids range in age from 13 years old to 14 months old. So finding a game that they can all play and enjoy can be a little challenging. Spoons however turned out to be a favorite for all of them. It is for ages 7 and up but with a little help my 5 year old was able to play just fine…. we even let baby sister join in the fun. We gave her the 2 joker cards (since they are not needed for the game) and she happily sat there and held her two cards feeling special to be part of the game.
We played for HOURS at a time, the kids absolutely loved it. I could have been done after about the first 5 rounds…. but I did totally enjoy the quality time with my kids! They even played it with Papa, truly is a game that people of ALL ages can enjoy.

You don’t have to buy it. Much cheaper to just use a regular deck of cards and plain old spoons. If you’re worried about little hands getting hurt with regular spoons use the plastic /rubberish baby or toddler spoons
This game would get ugly when we played it in my youth group. Kids would wrestle over the spoons & we just played with old metal silverware. Lol
