While I was in New York City a few weeks ago I wanted to see the Statue of Liberty. We walked down to the waterline, there was several tour boats selling tickets for $17-$45 per person. But I did not want to pay that much just so I could take Statue of Liberty pictures. We kept walking and found out that the Staten Island Ferries offer rides for FREE. They took us right by the Statue of Liberty, a sight I never thought I would see in my lifetime. The Staten Island Ferries are a great way to save money while traveling in New York City! Everything else you do in that city will cost you an arm and a leg, so you might as well save where you can!
