Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op

Tina is looking for 50 people in the Idaho Falls area,

I am a mom who  is trying to save money for my family, provide healthy meals and help our community.  I am trying to get a Bountiful Baskets group started in Idaho Falls.  I do not have a blog or anything to have a way to get this out other than by word of mouth.

About Bountiful Baskets Food Co-opBountiful Baskets Food Co-op is a participatory experience.  Participants all save a substantial amount of money on healthy food.  In exchange there are no employees to guide participants through the experience.  It is the responsibility of participants to read and understand the General Information and Policies about the co-op.

Bountiful Baskets is not a business.  It is a group of people who work together for mutual benefit. We are up front and open about how things work. Our policies are as follows:

Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op is constantly growing to reach new areas through a large network of volunteers.  We run at least every two weeks at each site. We are completely volunteer-run and make no profit.
How the Co-op works

As a group, we purchase items at deep discounts. Items are then distributed evenly among participants.

Basket contents

We get a variety of high-quality seasonal produce.  We balance variety with seasonality in order to get the most appealing and cost-effective basket possible.  We also choose to use local produce first when available, then regional produce (California, Utah, Colorado, Northern Mexico!)

Fees

There is a $1.50 fee for each separate transaction. This fee applies to all transactions, even those made within the same co-op cycle. Please note: we are unable to add items to a processed transaction.
There is a $3.00 First Time Basket fee for new participants. This need only be applied with the first basket(s) contributed for; it does not apply when selecting a new or different pickup site.
We are trying to get a group started in Idaho Falls.  We need 50 people to get is started and a building to use.  If you know of any buildings that might be available for 50 people, please let me know.  If you  have any questions or know of a building please email me at casekaj@cableone.net
