DIY Ring Holder ~ Thrifty Mother’s Day Gift Idea
Looking for a thrifty Mother’s day gift that is guaranteed to be loved and used for a very long time? This is a great idea! And even better, the supplies are inexpensive and mom doesn’t have to know!
You will need
A small photo frame (Mine is from the dollar section at Michael’s)
Small scrap of scrapbook paper
Thumbtack
Hot glue
Sticky jewel for the front of thumb tack
Begin by taking out the piece of paper that comes inside your frame. Also remove the clear plastic or glass inside. Now, use the paper from the inside to trace the shape on the back of your scrapbook paper and cut it out.
Add that paper into your frame. Take your thumbtack and put the sticky gem (also from the dollar section at Michael’s) to the front of it. Poke the thumbtack through the cardboard backing of the frame. If desired you can secure it on the back with a little super glue or hot glue. Just to make sure it isn’t going to fall apart on Mom! This is perfect to keep by the kitchen sink to use while washing dishes, the bathroom for shower time, or even next to the bed so she can hang her rings while she sleeps.
That is it, a complete Mother’s day for your Mom! If you want to earn a few extra brownie points, you could always add a ring too!
Thank you for this fantastic idea! Our students enjoyed making this project for Mother’s Day! They turned out so cute!
