My babies are growing up TOO fast. This summer the 4 of them have reached some important mile stones in life like, riding a bike, potty training, learning to swim, moving from a toddler bed to a big boy bed, learning to tie shoe laces, learning to blow bubbles with their gum, writing their name and so many more things.
But one of my 8 year old daughters proudest moments was being responsible and old enough to have her very own package of gum in her purse. I remember when I was little having my very own package of gum was right up there with loosing my first tooth, putting barbie glitter in my hair or getting a training bra…. all moments that made me feel like I was “big” and climbing the ladder to becoming an adult.
I picked up my daughters friends the other day and from the back of the van (the three of them all sat in the back because that is where the cool kids sit, in the back) I hear them them talking about how they can’t wait till they gain more weight. Once they are 100 lbs they can sit in the front seat. Then the conversation turned to what they had for lunch, then my daughter says, “Guess what my Mom gave me my own package of gum.” She then pulls it out of her purse and her friends were so impressed “oh man you’re so lucky, and can I have a piece”
Made me laugh…. Then they talked about gum the rest of the ride home. What kind they like best, how many bubbles they can blow, the wrappers and what you can make with them, when they can chew gum, and on and on. They were so excited about a pack of gum.
MOST kids and most adults for that matter like to chew gum, did you know that chewing the right gum can even be good for your dental care.
Complement your child’s daily brushing routine by letting them enjoy Orbit for Kids sugarfree gum for 20 minutes after eating and drinking, and during those times they can’t brush. Chewing Orbit sugarfree gum can help protect teeth because it:
Stimulates Saliva Flow
Chewing sugarfree gum stimulates saliva production—an important defense mechanism to help protect teeth. And healthy teeth mean happy mouths!
Neutralizes Plaque Acids
The increased saliva stimulation that comes from chewing sugarfree gum has been demonstrated to neutralize plaque acids. Fabulous!
They even sell mini packs now, perfect for kids. You get 10 mini packs per bag each with 6 pieces of gum inside.
