My Thifty Albertsons deals…

11/10/2009 2:10 pm · 16 comments

Before sales or coupons this would have cost  $163.78
I waited to match my coupons with a great sale,

SO I was able to get it all for $13.91

Plus I got back $15.00 in catalina coupons to use like cash on my next purchase

IMG_2556This was a total of 3 transactions, doing  the buy $30 and get back $15.00 in catalinas promo going on this week at Albertsons. ( ends tonight)  Everything I bought had a coupon, on each transaction I used 3 twice the value coupons to double my $1.00 coupons. I also paid with $15 in catalina from the prior transaction.  I will not take the time to list all the coupon match ups you can find them here.

I really wish that we had albertsons here!! I do pretty well with my cvs, food lion, and kroger shopping, but nothing compared to what you do.

That’s amazing!! I went to my local Albies and they wouldn’t double my coupons for the cereal I got…said she couldn’t double them if it made the price less than a dollar!!! I don’t know what that’s all about!

Elelyn, they are suppose to just put the price in to make it FREE but not create an overage. This is called adjusting the price down…..my store and an others do it everyday. But if you get a new cashier they may not know how to do it. Hope that helps

I’m just wondering where these Albertsons twice the value coupons are from? I haven’t seen them anywhere. Thanks

Julie they are not in all areas, but in my area they some on the Albertsons ad, normally in the Sunday paper. Hope that helps

Gosh, I wish Kroger did twice the value coupons and great catalina deals. The only decent catalina deals we’ve ever had were on Pillsbury refridgerated rolls.

Thank you for that Julie. I’m still hoping someone grabbed it and will turn it in next time they go. I appreciate the comment.

Bonny. . . I left my coupon binder in my cart at that Albertson’s awhile ago too. It did get returned to the customer service desk but it took a few days. So I’d keep calling there the next couple days.

Can I ask if you received more than $15. in Albertsons coupons? I went on Monday and matched coupons with the catalina merchandise. Today I went back and bought another $30 dollars of matching merchandise. I was very very careful both days but today I did not receive the 3/$5 dollar catalina. So my question is does Albertsons take my prefered number from my card and does not allow you to repeat the promotion more than once? Thanks Judy

Judy.. did you know you won the Pay it Forward giveaway?
not sure if you have checked your email

Thanks for all the scenarios. I got a great deal today! BTW, Halloween was 90% off @ my store today. Great fillers.

Out of curiosity, what do you do with the yogurt?

A Thrifty Mom November 10, 2009 at 5:03 pm

Claire we eat it……haa haa haa. Plus I am hosting 7 people this week at my house from New York for my little sisters wedding. With 13 people in the house it does not last but a few days…..

Today I accidentally left my coupon binder in the bottom of my cart at Albertsons in Meridian on Fairview. No one turned it in and it’s gone. I’m so so so sad.
