Santa Belly Pillow, Made from Bandannas!
This is such a great project that uses very little effort and is thrifty! There is no need to go to the fabric store and stand in line forever cutting fabric, because all you need is some bandannas from the craft store, some black ribbon, a regular pillow and a sewing machine!
Begin by cutting your black ribbon and the length of your bandannas and pin it half way, in the middle of one side of one bandanna.
Now turn the bandannas with the “nice side” together and pin around. Now sew all except for one long side.
Once you have it sewn, you will be ready to stick in your pillow, you need to turn it right side out. These red bandannas that I got from Hobby Lobby were so big that I was able to stick a standard size pillow in. It is so big, and cooshy!
Once it is stuffed, you can sew that bottom edge shut. You will want to fold down the edge so that it is flat.
Now you will need to sew on the belt buckle. I used some jingle bells that I had, but that will be hard to lay on if you are going to use this pillow for more then decoration. I am sure you could find something else pretty or an actual belt buckle for a great look! You will most likely have to sew this on by hand.
There you have it! A quick way to add some Christmas cheer to any room!
