Spot Pizza in Marsing invited the A Thrifty Mom family to came have lunch yesterday. I had never even heard of this restaurant before, so I did not know what to expect. Marsing is short drive from Caldwell. You just head west on Karcher road and a 10-15 drive depending on where you live. You will leave the busy streets, round the corner and look down upon the beautiful quite town of Marsing Idaho.
Once you cross the river, the first building on the right is Spot Pizza. They have seating inside and out and a place to let your kids or dogs run. I opened the door to the smell of fresh baked pizza and a warm cozy dinning room. One thing that really stuck out to me was HOW CLEAN it was! Most food establishments tend to show wear and tear, but Spot Pizza was warm and inviting, crisp and clean as well!
Heidi was our waitress she greeted us with a smile, proudly wearing her BSU apron for game day. It felt more like going to a friends house for lunch because the staff was all so friendly! The kids happily colored while waiting for their food and watched the game on the flat screen.
We had a salad from the salad bar, topped with homemade dressing (low as $2.95)! Once again it was clean, tidy and FRESH! We also got a sampler with Green Bean Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Spicy Buffalo Chips (low as $2.25). They were crisp, loaded with flavor and we ate every last one! Best part is they are BAKED not fried, so you get all the flavor and crunch but not the extra fat!
But the real treat was when our pizza came. We got half cheese for the kids and half Texas Hold Em BBQ Chicken Combo. The crust has the perfect crunch on the bottom but light and fluffy on the top… it was STUFF YOUR FACE kinda good! The fresh ingredients really make the difference. If you like pizza you have got to give them a try! They also offer gluten FREE pizza! The menu offers much more, homemade soup, pasta, burgers, finger steaks, fish and chips, chicken wings and strips… and more!
Susan the owner came out to say hi and check to see how we liked our meal! She was so down to earth and sweet as can be! When it was time to leave all of our kids asked to come back, it is a win-win when the whole family likes it! I hope you will take the short drive and check out Spot Pizza you will be glad you did once you taste the food!
