. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Thomas family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Abigail Campbell this is the 419th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

Mrs Thomas was living in the only mud house around this Ikom Iman area and we were so happy to meet her. She had seen us visit her neighbors and was taking no for an answer if we did not visit her. We had to assure her that we had plans of surely visiting her. She has six kids and is staying with her youngest son. She stays in a mudhouse the only one we can see in the area and it was lovely to meet her. she was very nice to us and called us her sons.

Mrs Thomas cooks with firewood just outside her home as that is the cheapest fuel she could afford. Her son takes care of her as she is too old for hardwork. He uses a motorbike to ferry people to and fro destinations but last night someone robbed him and took the bike from him. This was a major reason why Mrs Thomas was very happy to see us as she called us a direct answer to her prayers last night.

It was very nice to meet Mrs Thomas, she treated us nicely and prayed for us. She was grateful for the bag of Rice and prayed for the continued success of those who donated to their family. Even though something unfortunate happened to her family the day before, she was very optimistic that this is a sign from God and that everything will be alright. We appreciated her prayers and left her home very happy.
