CHICKEN PROJECT #641-668 SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST ORPHANAGE HOME.

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

The following story talks about our visitation to the Seventh-day adventists orphanage home, chickens were donated, thanks to Joseph Callahan, Anonymous Donor, James And Nancy Aydelotte AND Tami Smith Family, We donated Twenty-eight (28) chickens. Thanks to generous donations.

This is on our arrival, we first of all came inside to greet them and to know if they are around and so on before knowing the next step, some of the very little kids were busy on the own space sleeping and here is one of them, so after we seeing them we then go out to bring in what we got for them.

Here are the chickens, the guy putting on a cap ? This is my junior brother with one of his friend who drive us down here with his mini taxi buss and the woman in the photo is one of the kids mummy taking care of them.

The orphanage mummies helping out to clear the chickens placing them where they should be or a place provided to keep them, some of the kids refused coming to take photo with the kids due to the Cold weather and so on, so after here i then get them all together and take a group photo with them and they were all happy to take photo with Uncle.

This one were outside playing and as they saw me, they want me to carry them of which in did and she was very happy seeing me this day then we took group photo.

After the group photo, the little boy still don’t want me to go but still want me to carry him, there is problem o, smiles but finally he leave me to go.

So after all set and done, they do keep records of people that do come to visit, Name and names of the items you brought for the kids of which Charity home was the name i wrote and off we go.
