Easy DIY Holiday Place Cards
Hey all, it’s Katie. These Easy Holiday Place Cards will add even more festive cheer to your Holiday dinners. They are so easy to make and are a fun activity to do with the kids. I had my 13 year old daughter and her friend make the Thanksgiving ones. You can print your name cards from your computer or you can handwrite them for a personal touch.
All you need for these Thanksgiving inspired place card holders are
- Pine cones from the yard
- Cardstock or construction paper
- Feathers
- Name Cards
- Hot Glue
- Googly Eyes (optional)
First select your pinecones. Try to find ones that will sit flat. If they are too wobbly consider gluing them to a small block of wood. These ones are from our yard, but you can also purchase some from the craft store.
Next add feathers to one side of the pinecone to create the turkey feathers. Add a triangle cut out of paper for a beak to the front.
You can add googly eyes for a fun look. My two 13 year old helpers used hot glue to attach these things.
Place the name card on the top of pine cone. All done!
Next up Christmas!
I love the simplicity of these Christmas place card holders and they can be eaten. The supplies you need are:
- Candy Canes
- Ribbon
- Name Cards
- Hot Glue
Take 3 candy canes and add a dot or 2 of hot glue on the backs of the canes and then form them into a tripod. The front 2 need to form an easel and then the 3 is placed on the back for support
Tie a ribbon on the top. Place the name card in the crook of the canes. All done!
