Attention locals!  On Saturday, September 7, Caldwell Fine Arts is sponsoring a fundraiser for Arts Education in our local schools.  They are the ones who bring students to the Nutcracker Ballet and send artists out to the schools.  There is a 5K at 9:30, but before that, there’s a Kid’s Sonatina Scamper for only $5 each, or $15 for the entire family.  They run a 1/2 mile course and everyone gets a popsicle and medal at the end.  Perfect for the kiddos!

For those of you who are up to more than a 1/2 mile, there is also a 5K where you try to make it back before the end of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony (about 31 minutes). Here’s the details:

Sonatina Scamper 9:00 am / Beat Beethoven 5K 9:30 am

Register online before September 5

Late registration and packet pick-up will be at Langroise Center September 6 from 6 – 8 pm and the morning of the race beginning at 8 am. Prizes for place finishers plus extra prizes for everyone who “Beats Beethoven”.  Walkers, strollers, and dogs on leashes welcome!

Early Registration: Adults $12/ Child $8

After September 5: Adults $15/Child $10 

Shirts available at the race and at registration.  $7 kids T’s and $11 adult upgraded sport shirts.
