ORPHANAGE SUPPLIES PROJECT, QUEEN ESTHER’S ORPHANAGE HOME. DONATION #36

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock. That is why we started the Orphanage donations so we can still help feed the orphans even if chickens are not yet ready. These donations go to purchase food, diapers, wipes, clothes and medications.

The following story talks about our visitation to QUEEN ESTHER’S ORPHANAGE HOME, Babies supplies were donated, Thanks to  Kristi Ottmar, The Marlow Family and an anonymous donor for your Generous Donations.

Our visit to Queen Esther’s Orphanage Home, located at Fox Road in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria, was a profoundly meaningful experience that left a lasting impression on everyone involved. With a collective heart of compassion and generosity, we came prepared to share essential baby supplies to support the children and caregivers at the home. Among the items we donated were noodles, Nasco, Big Baby Pampers, Dettol, custard, baby soap, baby oil, baby powder, detergent, baby milk, baby wipes, tissues, cabin biscuits, adult milk, and cartons of juice. These supplies were carefully selected to meet the basic needs of the children and ease the daily responsibilities of their caregivers.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and children, whose smiles and heartfelt greetings made us feel appreciated and connected to their cause. The caregivers expressed immense gratitude for the thoughtful donations, emphasizing how much they rely on such contributions to maintain the welfare of the children in their care. Their words of thanks, accompanied by prayers for blessings and replenishment, filled us with a deep sense of fulfillment and reinforced the value of all our efforts.

During the visit, we also took time to engage with the staff and children, learning more about the incredible work being done at Queen Esther’s Orphanage Home. The dedication of the caregivers and the resilience of the children were truly inspiring. It was humbling to see how our small act of giving could bring such joy and relief to their lives, creating a ripple effect of hope and positivity within the home.

As we departed, the warm farewell and prayers of blessing from the staff and children resonated deeply with us, all general donations. This experience served as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting those in need and the impact of collective action. We left with renewed determination to continue such charitable endeavors, knowing that every contribution, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of others.
