ORPHANAGE SUPPLIES PROJECT, SEVENTH DAYS ADVENTIST ORPHANAGE HOME. DONATION #37

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock. That is why we started the Orphanage donations so we can still help feed the orphans even if chickens are not yet ready. These donations go to purchase food, diapers, wipes, clothes and medications.

The following story talks about our visitation to SEVENTH-DAYS ADVENTIST OPHANAGEGE HOME, Babies supplies were donated, Thanks to The Marlow Family and Melissa Rae for your Generous Donations.

Our visit to the Seventh-Day Adventist Orphanage Home was a heartwarming and impactful experience that highlighted the importance of caring for vulnerable children. We arrived with a collection of essential baby supplies, including noodles, Nasco biscuits, Big Baby Pampers, Dettol, custard, baby soap, baby oil, baby powder, detergent, baby milk, baby wipes, tissues, cabin biscuits, adult milk, and cartons of juice. These donations were thoughtfully selected to support the needs of the little ones in their care, especially since the home primarily caters to younger children, with many of the older ones having moved on to new chapters in their lives.

The staff and children at the orphanage greeted us warmly, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and mutual respect. Their appreciation for the donations was evident in their words and gestures as they expressed heartfelt thanks for the generous contributions. The caregivers shared how vital such support is in maintaining the health, hygiene, and comfort of the children under their care. Their words of gratitude, coupled with prayers for blessings and replenishment, made the moment deeply meaningful for all of us.

During our time at the orphanage, we observed the dedication of the caregivers and the joy of the children. It was evident that the staff works tirelessly to create a nurturing and supportive environment for the little ones, despite the challenges they face. Our donations were not just about providing supplies; they were a way of showing these children and their caregivers that they are valued and supported by the broader community.

As we left the Seventh-Day Adventist Orphanage Home, we felt inspired and encouraged by the experience. The staff’s prayers and well-wishes for blessings upon everyone who contributed served as a reminder of the profound impact of collective kindness. This visit reinforced our commitment to supporting such initiatives, knowing that even small acts of generosity can bring hope, joy, and relief to those who need it most.
