Santa hat Rice Krispies treats
Make this festive holiday snack, Santa hat Rice Krispies treats with store bought treats or homemade.
These cute Rice Krispie treats are so fun to make with or without homemade rice krispie treats. In a hurry just use store bought.
you will need:
8 ct package of Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats or homemade
8 white Sixlet candies
Red colored sugar sprinkles
how to make them:
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
If using store bought treats, unwrap. If using homemade, make them ahead of time so they can be set up.
Cut the treats into a triangles.
Insert a popsicle stick into the base of each Rice Krispie Treat and place in fridge for 15 minutes to harden.
Once your treats are ready, pour the Wilton red candy melts into a microwave safe dish. Heat in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring occasionally until melted.
Dip the treats into the melted chocolate, using a spoon to gently coat the triangle allowing the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl.
Place on the parchment lined baking sheet and generously sprinkle with red sugar crystals.
Once the chocolate sets, pour a 1/4 of the white chocolate melts into a microwave safe dish and heat in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring until melted.
Carefully dip the tip of the Santa hat into the white melted chocolate. Use a spoon to make a rim on the long end of the treat.
Place back on the baking sheet and place 1 white Sixlet on the tip of the hat while still wet.
Let harden before serving.
