Snowkite in Park City

Best-Kiteboarding-Center$49 for a Two-Hour Introduction to Snowkiting at Best Snowkite Center in Park City ($175 Value)
If Benjamin Franklin had flown a kite in a blizzard, it would have been weighed down by snowflakes, causing the kite to crash to the ground and the townschildren to be filled with sadness. Discover a happy mix of snow and kite with today’s Groupon: for $49, you get a two-hour introduction to snowkiting class at Best Snowkite Center in Park City (a $175 value). Swarmed by a flurry of snow sugar at Powder Mountain Ski Resort, Best Snowkite Center provides a range of snowkiting courses and clinics for all experience levels. Snowkiting is a winter sport where snowboarders and skiers use kite velocity to whisk them up or down the mountain or across flat snow. The intro class, held in the surrounding Park City area, teaches nippy novices about safety, weather conditions, power kites, rigging a four-line inflatable kite, learning how to fly a trainer kite, and how to build a kite out of scrapbooking supplies. Students who conquer the basics can make turns across the frosty terrain during their first lesson. Kites are provided, but everyone should bring their own skis or snowboard and helmet. Students without a board, skis, or helmet should contact Best Kiteboarding Center in advance to check availability and possible additional fees.
