I don’t ever remember my mother actually teaching me things on purpose, she led by example. I didn’t even realize I learned so much from her until I was on my own. She taught me how to can, grow a garden, take care of kids, clean toilets (and other rooms) and to use what you had. She also taught me to love your husband and honor him and to appreciate your family. It took me awhile to realize why my kids didn’t want to learn things when I wanted to teach them. You learn it, and didn’t even know it.
