Rachel from Frugal Mommy has asked me to help get the word out about getting doubles in all areas.
I recently emailed Albertsons asking them why it seems Albertsons in the Southern California never puts out “Doublers” as they seem to do almost monthly in places like Idaho I was bothered, because in this economy we ALL are suffering, and living in Southern California where the cost of living is pretty high, I would really LOVE to get in on some of the deals that A Thrifty Mom gets!!

I found out why Albertsons in So Cal doesn’t double… “no demand.”
Huh??
(I disagree with that statement)
It has to do with the fact that, although Albertsons are all owned by the same company (save for Northern Ca.) each Division is run as if it were a separate company.
The only way to get Double Coupons in So Cal and Nev. would be for customers toCALL and/or EMAIL/WRITE Corporate anddemand (request may be a nicer word…)
that they bring the Doublers to Southern California/Nevada
(since we are definitely hurting from this economy slump…)
The flip side would be if they WERE to print the Doublers,people would actually HAVE TO USE THEM!
Or Albertsons in So Cal/Nevada will again stop printing them.
I was wondering if you would be willing to help me get the word out?
If we can get enough people requesting them for the Southern California/Nevada Region Albertsons WILL LISTEN!
I spoke with the woman in charge of the So Cal/Nev region personally, and this was her suggestion.
To get the word out to as many people as possible, and have them either write in, email in, or call in requesting Double Coupon Deals!!
She also assured me that she would “look into” the matter, especially now that the economy has changed for the worst recently… Any help would be great!!

Thank you for posting the info. I live in Palm Springs, CA where everything is sooo expensive (well, everywhere in Cali!) and I never thought of calling. I would love to have doublers!! Thanks soo much! LOOVE your site!
I also read on another blog that they have started a petition that will be forwarded to Albertsons.

i cant believe the “brokest” lol state does not have doubles
WE WANT DOUBLES. I live in San Diego CA the kmart manager laugh when i called to see if they had doubles, like everyone else 
she said NO!

Maria, they are doubling at K-Mart in Temecula until tomorrow. They have done it pretty often out here. Next time they are doubling check that store. It’s not too far from you.
I completely agree, and will take the time to contact Albertson’s as soon as I finish this comment. I am an avid Albertson’s shopper in the inland empire of southern California and would gladly welcome these coupons.

All the lady’s at play group thought it was funny that she excited to meet me….Heck I am just normal Sarah to everyone here….it is fun when people act excited to talk coupons with me. We do not have double coupons, No Cal, Bay Area. We would love them too.
I wrote to Albertson’s, they sent me a note telling that it is under review and enclosed a $8 off $100 expired coupon!
Amber thank you so much I did not know about any kmart doubling. I will def keep my eye out next time. Temecula is def close by. I hope more people keep emailing albertsons about doubles in CA and NV
