About Us

I am a stay at home mom with four wonderful kids. I have been married for over 10 years to my best friend. I am head over heels in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together.

I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet.

I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy.

Did you guys see the $10 off the purchase of $50 or more this week? And lots of B1G1 Free deals in the meat department.

  • Nikki

Smart Source (SS), Red Plum (RP), GM, Proctor & Gamble (P&G), are all inserts in the Sunday paper. Look in between the store ads, it is like a small booklet that is loaded with coupons. GM insert is the General Mills insert that comes in the paper (not all papers get this insert), comes out every couple weeks, maybe once a month but not exactly. Tribune does not get the GM insert, but Statesman does. Catalina is a coupon that prints at the register at Albertsons.

I found a coupon (by the apples) for $2 off apples when you buy two Litehouse caramel dips. Making this an even more thrifty deal!

  • Many time if you follow the link and the coupon is not there…it is because it has reached it print limit. That is why is is important to try and print them asap….hope that helps

  • Samie

How come sometimes when we follow the link, the coupon is not listed? It did not ask for my zip code on the .40/1 coupon.

  • Karen

My So Cal Albertson’s is showing the BC fruit snacks as 2/$3, a few cents cheaper than the 3/$5.

  • Heidi

I do not see the Betty Crocker fruit snack coupon on the sites listed. What zip code are you using?
