About Us I am a stay at home mom with three wonderful kids. I have been married for over 8 years to my best friend. I am head over heals in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together. I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet. I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy.

Albertsons Doubles

I have had a few of you ask me about the Albertsons twice the value coupons found in todays Sunday paper ( Idaho Press Tribune and The Idaho Statesman)  Yes there was a single ad from Albertsons and on the bottom was 3 twice the value coupons….I just have not had time to do any match ups.  So if you have any great ideas let me know.  I plan to go shopping in the morning….to see what thrifty deals I can find.

  • Coffee mate creamer is $2.29, with the $1 IP from a few weeks ago they are $.29 after doubles. Great price to stock up on the holiday flavors.

I’m gonna buy the GM cereal priced at $1.88 each, use the $1 off 2 coupon and double it to get some cereal for $0.88 each! (this is in Utah)

Cinnabon is free after doublers. I think it is found on coupons.com $2-1-1dbl=free

Kelloggs mini wheats 2.50 each but when you buy 3 get a free milk so use 3 IP found on coupons.com and double them, pay 1.50 and get a Q for the milk to get ONYO.

Lindsay Olives are .18 for 2 after IP and doublers. IP is found here http://www.lindsayolives.com/go/club-lindsay/overview.html

Found orowheat bread are 3.19/1 BOGO (identical item) using two .55/1 orowheat and Twice the value coupon. You are left with .99 for TWO loaves of bread! I like that.

Dannon Danimals Drinkable yogurt & Crush Cups are on sale 2/$3 this week. There was $1/1 any Danimals coupon in (I believe) last weeks newspaper (not sure which insert). Plus, if you use a double it creates a $.50 overage.
