Thrifty Walgreens deal

Before sales or coupons this would have cost $19.90 plus tax

I was able to get it all for $5.60 ( which I paid for with a gift card, that I got for transferring a prescription) So I got them all FREE

Plus I got back $10 in Register Rewards so it was a money maker

My store was really well stocked last week for the money maker deal on Ricola, So I asked if I could buy 10 of them if they still had a bunch of them the last day of the sale.  SO I went in to my local store 15 minutes before they closed late Saturday night and bought 10 bags.  I did have to buy them one at a time, so a Register Reward would print for each one.

If you read my blog you know that I am always encourage you  NOT clear the shelf,  I wanted to make it clear that I waited till the very end of the sale  ( they still had over 50 packages).  Now you are wondering why I bought so many?  Well during the winter I  make home made soup a lot, I often share it with my friends if I hear they are not feeling well.  Or take it to some of the older ladies, that go to my church.  I like to write them a little note, and tie a little ribbon around the cough drops and tell them to feel better soon and enjoy the soup.
