Spring is here which means strawberries are at a stock up price. I showed you how to freeze strawberries earlier this week. But lets face it FRESH is the best way to eat them. My kids love chocolate covered strawberries (but lets face it those are a lot of work). So instead we make inside out chocolate covered strawberries. Chocolate in the middle instead of the outside, plus easier to eat for little fingers. You can also make these ahead of time for a party, and put them in the refrigerator.
Simply wash the strawberry, take the core out with a veggie peeler and fill with chocolate or nutella. Quick easy and a very tasty treat. To melt the chocolate I put a few chocolate chips in a freezer bag and melted them for 30 seconds in the microwave, squished them up then melted them again. Cut the tip off the edge of the bag and filled the berries. Or you can put Nutella in the bag for the same idea.
