With the new Jurassic World Movie, there are going to be lots of kids wanting to have dinosaur themed parties. This is a fun low cost craft idea, your kids can make their very own Amber Stone. You can add a magnet to the back too for a fun magnet to use in their locker at school.
All you need is:
scissors
Mod Podge or school glue
To make these start out by drawing an image on your cardstock. Make sure it is small enough to fit in the middle of the stone. If you are not an artist feel free to look up easy drawing instruction online to help get the basic shape of things like bugs or flowers . Use the colored pencils to add color to your picture. Use a light brown and golden yellow to color the empty space around the stone, this is what gives it the amber look. Trace around your stone, cut out your image. Add a think layer of glue or mod podge to the top of the image and place the stone on top. Allow to try, try not to shift the image or it might smear.
