Kitchen update ~ Worth the wait (Mommy Moments)

kitchen

I thought I would give you all a little update to our Kitchen Remodel, slowly but surely we are getting all the pieces into place.  My dream kitchen is starting to take shape… and those 3 years of living with bare sheet-rock walls is starting to pay off.  I will be honest this remodel has been VERY hard living without cabinet and I am not sure I would recommend it to anyone else.  Living in an constant state of “a work in progress” wears you out.

I was ready to throw in the towel many times it seemed like we had started a project that was never going to get done… I was so tempted ot just take out a loan or put it on credit card just so we could get back to normal life. But we didn’t, instead we saved and worked out butts off  to accomplish or dream. The joy of having my dream kitchen and having it paid in cash is sweeter thanks to the sacrifice involved.   I still can’t help but smile every time I walk into my kitchen!

It has been fun to see the little personal touches like my custom spice rack, pan racks, cabinet lighting and a tile job done buy my husband (still a work in progress)!  We still have trim and windows to install… but we sure have come a long way in three years!kitchen Some of you h ave asked who built our cabinets, we used Heritage Cabinetry located in Middleton, ID but they can travel to install so don’t hesitate to call them 208-590-2114 ask for Josh and tell him A Thrifty Mom sent you.   Their work is amazing, custom to fit your home, high quality and affordable as well.

Here is the post with some of the work we did on our kitchen remodel

And here is the before and after post on our Kitchen Remodel
