Mummy craft
A fun mummy craft perfect for kids and adults.
Not many supplies are needed to throw together this simple mummy craft, but, it is a great craft for kids and adults. Do it together for a fun craft day when the fall weather is too brisk to go outside. I made mine in an 8×10 size, so you can add it in a frame and share year after year.
You will need:
Brown or black paper (construction or cardstock)
white printer paper
distressing ink *optional
Begin tearing your paper into strips. I like them to be “messy” but you can rip your paper more carefully for a more clean look. Once you have some strips torn you will want to distress them. Ink pads are great for this, because you can just rub it across the ripped edge for a nice aged look.
I also chose to cut my paper down. I wanted the strips of paper to go all the way to the ends without the edges showing. So I cut my paper to an 8×10 size, leaving some overhang when I glued down the strips.
Now glue your strips down onto the paper starting at one end. Be sure to leave a small space where you will glue your googly eyes so they can peek out. Once I was done with that, I simply trimmed off the edges that hung over my paper giving it a straight edge.
I think it is a perfect, easy, Halloween craft perfect for any age.
