Pineapple Buttercream Frosting Recipe:
Wish you could get away to a tropical paradise this summer? Well this Pineapple Buttercream Frosting recipe will take you there. I love pineapples. No really, I just can’t get enough. My favorite cakes are made with pineapples, and when I make white or yellow cake guess what I top it with… That’s right, Pineapple Buttercream Frosting. Sometimes I get really fancy and add some flake coconut and top it off with a cherry! So what are you waiting for? Grab the mixer, and let’s get this tropical party started!
Here’s what you need:
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla
4-5 fresh pineapple chunks (chopped)
1/8 teaspoon of salt
How you make it:
5. In a mixing bowl beat butter with a mixer until creamy.
6. Add vanilla to your creamed butter.
7. Slowly add powdered sugar and salt and mix until you have a nice fluffy frosting.
8. Add pineapple and mix until it is evenly disbursed throughout the frosting. Now, I will caution you here. You have to be careful because this frosting can turn into a mess rather quickly if it gets warm. Make sure you store your frosting or frosted cake in the fridge until time to serve.
Pineapple Buttercream is perfect for pound cake, coconut cake, and dipping fresh fruit, especially strawberries!
