You will need

  • Pork Chops 4-6 thin cut
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth (made need more to thin sauce)
  • 1/4 cup frozen apple juice mix
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry onion minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry marjoram leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Add flour, garlic, onion,  marjoram, basil, salt, pepper together and add to a bag.

Add pork chops to bag and shake well.

All the pork chops should be evenly coated, with a thin layer of seasoned flour. KEEP the extra flour to make sauce later.

In a large pan heat oil and butter over medium high heat.

Add pork chops, to pan and cook on each side 3-5 minutes. For a total cooking time of 6-10 minutes.  Cooking time will vary on the temp of your stove, and thickness of the meat.

Once Pork Chops are cooked take, out of pan and set aside while you make the sauce.

Add 2-4 tablespoons of seasoned flour (left over from bag) to the dripping and butter that you cooked the Pork Chops in.

Sprinkle seasoned flour into pan. Let the flour cook and mix with the drippings about 1 min over medium heat.

Then add the chicken broth and apple juice concentrate, whisk to eliminate any clumps.  Sauce will thicken as it comes to a boil.

Once sauce has come to a boil, add pork chops back to pan.

Cover, turn temp down to low and let simmer for another 5 minutes.

ENJOY!

I literally was just sighing wondering what to do with my porkchops and up pops this recipe on twitter. I have all of this except the basil and marjoram, but I think I will give it a go and try to figure out a substitute, great timing for me!
