    At 4.5″ in diameter, it is certainly much bigger than a couple lighters or a couple books of matches. In a life or death situation you usually have the “bare minimum” of equipment with you. I’m thinking I’ll stick with a lighter or matches in my survival pack. 🙂 It’s still a very cool gadget. 🙂
