  Crock pot Italian chicken  Recipe:

In your crockpot add chicken ( I used 2 large breast, they are about the size of 4 smaller breast that I am use to).  On top of the chicken, add 1 table spoon Italian seasoning. Add 1/2 cup water, 1 can cream of chicken soup, and 1 brick of cream cheese.  Put the lid on and cook on high for the first hour and 1/2,  mix it all up with a spoon making a sauce.  Put the lid back on and cook on medium for another 2 hours.  We eat it over the top of white rice, my family loves it.

I forgot to add that you can use frozen chicken, just add an extra 30 mins  to cooking time.  I love to take the chicken out of the freezer and pop it right into the crock pot…easy!

i have a really small crock pot without settings. i'm wondering how i should adjust (if i need to) this recipe to make it work with my crock pot?

I finally got around to making this a few days ago. The whole family loves it! We had it on rice and will not be trying it any other way... Absolutely delicious! What's even better is that my S.O. loves it... and if he loves it, it's a keeper! (He's one of the super picky ones.)

My recipe calls for powdered ranch dressing packets instead of italian seasoning and my family LOVES it.

Funny. We had the same (well, very similar) meal tonight! I call mine cream cheese chicken, but is basically the same. My recipe: 2-3 frozen chicken breasts (cut up ; I cut them frozen) 1 brick cream cheese 1 family size cream of chicken soup 1 pkg. zesty (or reg.) italian dressing Put it all in the crockpot on low for 6-8 hrs. We layer rice, then broccoli, with the sauce on top. I've never thought of not cutting up the chicken. How does that turn out? Do you cut up the chicken when it's all done cooking? Does the chicken come apart fairly easily? I know silly questions, but I'm curious. :)

Yes it is 1/2 cup sorry I left that out. If you want it a little thiner you can add more. Or even add another can of soup...you can't really mess it up..super easy and yummy sarah
