. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here.

The Following story is about the Ifiok family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Juan Aleman this is the 219th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

We visited this next family in a village outside of Uyo, Nigeria. They were introduced to us by their village chief. The Ifioks have 3 kids. They live in a rented one bedroom mud house with other people. This house does not have plumbing or electricity. There is no borehole in this village so people fetch water from streams or collect rain water.

The Ifioks cook in a small mud house kitchen that they share with the other tenants in the house. They use firewood to cook. Mr Ifiok is a carpenter and was at home when we arrived because he had not gotten work in a long time. His wife sells palm fruits at the local market and for now this is what has been keeping the family going.

We loved meeting this family. They were very happy to see us and were even more happy with their bag of Rice. They expressed their thanks to those who donated the bag of Rice to their family. These family are deserving of this gift and it will feed them for months especially during this hard times.
