Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Daniel family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Shirley Taylor this is the 240th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
We met the Daniel family in a village just outside of Uyo, Nigeria. They were recommended to us by his village chief. Mrs Daniel is a widow and she has 10 children and they live in a one bedroom mud house with no electricity or plumbing. We only met Mrs Daniel and four of her kids and they were very welcoming to us.

The Daniels cook in a semi open kitchen just besides their house. They use firewood because it is the cheapest that they can afford. Mrs Daniel has a lot of kids, but not all of them are home. Most of them are serving as maids to other families. Mrs Daniel struggles to raise the rest of her kids through farming and the harvest this year was really poor so it has been hard for this family to eat.

We were very happy to meet this wonderful family. They were very grateful with their bag of Rice and thanked those who donated it to their family. Farmers have been hit very hard this year and our visit was very welcomed by the Daniel family. We left with smiles on our faces because we left them in better state than when we met them.
