. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Jumbo family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Crystal, Jonathan & Madison Brown this is the 278th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

Mrs. Blessing Jumbo is a 38 year old married woman. Her husband, Ubong is currently out of job, he was a commercial motorcyclist before his bike was retrieved by the owner, because of his inability to pay up the balance of the hire purchase agreement. Hire purchase agreement is a common practice in the region, which has helped so many youths to acquire motorcycles and cater for their families.

Mrs. Blessing on the other hand is a tailor, but the hardship in the country has made her business less lucrative as people fend for their stomach before thinking about outfits. This condition has made life unbearable for them. They cook with firewood which is quite affordable, they fetch from nearby bushes where they will have to walk several miles away from their abode.

They were very happy to receive us, when we gave them a bag of rice and told them it was all theirs, they couldn’t hold their joy. They made prayers of blessings for the donors, asking God to replenish their pockets for rendering this kind gesture on them.
