. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Udoh family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Nicole Wright and Kathi Lee this is the 302nd bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

While walking around the village, searching for more families to reach out to, we met Mr. Imo and his wife Joy, both appear to be in their mid 30s. From our interactions with Mr. Imo, we discovered he was a casual staff in a company in the city, where he was working in the city before he lost his job because the company embarked on a massive down sizing, an aftermath of Covid-19 pandemic. The Udohs live in a rented one bedroom mudhouse with no plumbing or electricity. They have 8 kids and some of them live with other people as servants as their parents can not take care of them.

His wife Joy, is also unemployed and their is no capital to start up a business or learn a trade. This situation has forced them into untold hardship resulting to some of their children dropping out from school. Mr and Mrs Imo cooks in front of their house where bamboos trees were used to set as kitchen. Saw dust are used as fuel to ignite fire for cooking of available food their have.

We were happy to meet this family and give them their bag of Rice. Mr. Imo prayed and thanked the donors for remembering them in this difficult times. He said this Rice will go a long way to help their family survive.
