. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Imoh family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Chris Byrne this is the 308th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

Meet Mr. Imo Sunday and his wife, Esther, natives of Uruk Anam Local Government Area. Mrs. Esther is in her late 20s and her marriage is barely five years old. She is a full-time house wife and her husband who was not at home when we visited is a Vulcaniser. According to her, Mr. Friday struggles to make ends meet because the business has become less lucrative. She recalled the days of business boom, when motorists preferred to fix minor faults in the village rather than overhaul them in the cities. She also cited the decreasing population of automobile users who have either left the village or sold their assets in order make ends meet.

These situations have made life pretty hard for them because they are in desperate need of financial help in order to take good care of their two kids. They live in a poorly furnished two bedroom mud apartment with wooden doors and windows. They cook by making a tripod stone stand that makes use of firewoods. From all indications, the use of firewood is informed by its availability and affordability which they get from their farmlands.

They were filled with joy when we gifted them a bag of rice, they said that this gift will go a long way to make life easier for them. Mrs Imoh was really shocked that we could give them a bag of Rice, she was in disbelief for much of our visit. They offered significant thanks to the suppliers for favoring them and referenced God for playing his divine part.
