Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Emanson family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Jeri Carr this is the 315th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
Meet the Emanson family, together with his mother, they have lived in this mud house all their lives. Mr Emanson is a full-time farmer, farming is the only means of livelihood which makes him work so hard in order to feed his wife and four Children. His wife, who’s currently unemployed has been drafted into the family business in order to improve output in hopes for enough produce to feed their own family and sale some for profit as well.
What is realized at the end of the farming season is usually not enough to cater for the family and give the children quality education. According to him, if empowered with funds, he can hired labourers and rent farmlands in order to enhance productivity but over the years, such luck has not smiled on them. So instead the labor day after day in an effort to just survive.
A fragment of their compound is reserved as Kitchen. For the most part in the town, the utilization of firewood is very predominant, so they get from their farmland for cooking.
They were glad to see us in their home, and when we gave their bag of Rice, They were ecstatic. They rained down favors upon the hands that have offered uninhibitedly to them, requesting that God favors them hugely. Still in disbelief this bag was all for them.
