Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Udeme family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Shirley Taylor this is the 316th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
We visited the Udemes in the company of one the beneficiaries who took up the job of taking us around the village in search of families in need of help, in the process, we met Mr. Udeme and wife who live with three of his children. Mr. Udeme is a Pastor of a church, here in the village, aside being a spiritual leader, his sells palm kernels and processes same to extract palm oil. Over the years, this business has not been able to secure a good life him and his family. In the house displayed on the picture, we could sense the absence of basic amenities or furniture, no electricity or plumbing.
Strolling around the house, we found that they cook with a metal mount stand which permits little kindling use. They get kindling from close by hedges.
They were glad to see us, they offered us with water and told us little things about their town. At the point when we gave them a bag of rice, they were loaded with grins, commending God for how he has helped his family through these gifts.
