. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Mark family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Cat Neiheisel this is the 318th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

Meet the 75 year old Nne Mark, who has been a farmer for the past 35 years. During her active days, she was able to save some money to cater for the upkeep of her seven children who are now grown up. She narrated more ordeals and exploits but we understand that old age has now sent her to retirement as she no longer goes to farm. The upkeep of the family is now vested on the rest of the children who also have their personal families to fend for. She fears things might not get better with the prices of things going higher day by day. We later discovered that some of her children are currently unemployed.

Walking around the house, we could see that some parts of the roof were badly damaged while the back parts have started cracking gradually. There is no form of plumbing, neither is there any place for personal convenience.

They cook with a tripod stand right beside their house which allows the use of firewood. They were very happy to receive us, the old woman instantly prayed extensively for the donors asking God to bless them exceedingly in all their endeavors.
