Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Udo family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Elaine Rashi this is the 363rd bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
We came in contact with this amazing family outside Uyo at Ibesikpo village. They live in a rough uncompleted building with a rugged zinc roof top. Their house is a very old building and that uses wooden windows also. We met with Mr Uduak Okonokon Udo who welcomed us very well and told us about his lovely wife Mrs. Grace Uudak who was not around at the moment we came. They are blessed with 5 lovely children.
Mr Uduak told us that he was a former business trader and that he fell very ill and the medical bills cost him his business and almost cost him his life. The wife was also unemployed so therefore it was hard for them to survive with the kids. As they could manage the little, they have, this is their kitchen space just behind the house, surrounded with many unwanted plants.
This family was recommended to us by their village chief and we were happy to meet them. Mr Uduak was very surprised to meet us and was amazed to receive a bag of Rice for him and his family. He was very grateful to the donors that made it possible for their hearts to be this happy and prayed that they will be richly rewarded.
