. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Ajagah family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to an anonymous donor this is the 377th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

We met this wonderful family in a village called Umuola outside Aba, Abia state. They were recommended to us by their church leader. This family lives in an uncompleted building, cemented and roughly structured. The environment is unconducive and not health friendly. We came in contact with Mrs Nne Ngozi Ajagha, who welcomed us with open arms. This is their front yard were they receive visitors. Mrs Ngozi is a widow of 2 children. She lost her job few years after her husband died. She had no choice but to struggle to take care of her two kids.

Mrs Nne showed us their bathing space, not just that its outside and unhygienic but very close to where they dispose their refuse. We got to their cooking space surrounded with fire woods and water galloons.

Mrs Ngozi was very happy to receive the bag of rice we donated to her, after the demise of her husband, the responsibility of taking care of her two kids became a burden especially because she lost her job. I hope this bag of rice goes a long way to support the family through their struggles.
