Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Joseph family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Lindsey Watkins Family this is the 388th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.
We had so much fun with the Joseph family. We saw some kids playing outside a house and decided to check on them. And ended up meeting the wonderful Joseph family. The Josephs have 5 kids and they live in their old family house. Which has started falling apart due to age and neglect. Also living with them is Mr Josephs younger brother and sister.

The Josephs cook in the open at the back of their house, using the popular and dependable firewood and metal tripod combo. This is because it is very cheap and easily accessible. Mr Joseph and his brother are both commercial motorbike operators. They carry people on their motorbike and charge a fee for each fare. This barely takes care of the family and they have to add farming whenever possible to ensure the family has something to eat.

Since we were not expected, it took us a while to explain who we were and why we visited the Josephs and after a brief discussion we all became bestfriends. We loved this family and their kids and how welcoming everybody was. They were happy to receive their bag of Rice and spoke so much about how it has made their holidays. Their faces were full of joy and it was contagious. They expressed their sincere gratitude to those who donated to their family and prayed for God to reward them immensely.
