Bag of Rice Project #394 -A visit to the Udofia family

. In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing
Nigerian families with rice. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. The Following story is about the Udofia family, their bag of rice was donated thanks to Lindsey Watkins Family  this is the 394th bag of rice our program has been able to give away thanks to generous donations.

We met our next family in Ikom Ima, Akwa Ibom state. They were recommended to us by their neighbors whom we asked if there was anybody nearby that we could visit. We did not meet Mrs Udofia at home but we met their children and decided to stay. Mrs Udofia is a widow and she has 6 kids. They live in a not quite finished house without any plumbing or electricity.

The Udofias use one of the broken down rooms at the back of their house to prepare their meals. They use the popular firewood and a metal tripod combo because it is cheap and easy to use. Mrs Udofia is a market trader and she sells dry fish at a local market and was there at the time we visited.

The Udofias were very surprised to see us as they were not expecting us at all. They were very delighted and thankful to those who donated to their family and prayed that the Lord will bless and reward them back exceedingly.
