One of our readers sent me this link which melted my heart. This sweet little boy was born with the same heart defect as my 11 year old son known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He also lives in Idaho just like we do. Unfortunately he has had lots of complications and is now waiting for a heart transplant. But he also loves the Ellen show so she decided to make his day by having a little chat with him. He warms my heart and reminds me so much of my son!

My son was also born with HLHS. He had his surgeries at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Emory Campus). He is now 26 years old, married and expecting his own son in December. He had the series of Norwood procedures and is doing well.
I had never heard of this syndrome until I started following your page a couple of years ago. These kids are fighters and you parents are, too. Thanks for sharing this post and spreading awareness about Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
