When it comes to organizing, many people become overwhelmed. But it doesn’t have to be difficult. Use these three steps to get started and the rest will fall into place.
#1 Give everything you own a home.
If it has a designated place, it has somewhere to go home to. If it doesn’t, well, it just clutters. If it doesn’t have a home, find one or get rid of it.
#2 Store like with like.
Organize and store similar things together. For example, I have a shelf for craft items, a shelf for office supplies and another shelf for gift wrapping supplies. This creates efficiency in the home.
#3 Re-purpose containers.
I don’t like to spend alot of money on organization tools so I re-purpose lots of different containers, from boxes to baskets to empty wipes containers. Anything that was meant to hold one thing, might be useful to hold another. You just have to think outside of the box.
