CHICKEN PROJECT 245-269 NWAMAKA ORPHANAGE HOME.

Spread the love

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

The following story talks about our visitation to Nwamaka Orphanage, chickens were donated thanks to Kimberly Madden, Kelly Vallance, Shannan Brice, Staci Richins, Angie Allin, Joann Barrand And Paula Deacon. We donated Twenty-five (25) chickens. Thanks to generous donations.

Kids sleeping

Here we met the little ones sleeping in the bed respectively while the bigger ones went to school. While we were there people came to donate money to them with other items so the people in charge can also use the money to buy some cloths for them and mostly pay for the school fees unless they are going to the school. Other schools will sometimes allow orphans to not pay. Some of the orphanages go to the extra miles to even open an Orphanage school were in any one of the orphans can attend free. We try hard to make sure these motherless children they get an education.

Photos of the big kids around

This two were the only once around the time we came and they were playing Game which is on the table before them both, the are so loving, so respectful etc.

They all were so happy to see us comin with chickens, it will serve as meat in there food this day with other food items behind them in the photo which was brought to them by visitors also. They only get to eat what others bring, donations only is their food plan for the week. People do come pay visit bring a donation and go back like every other person does.

Before we leave they always thank us with songs and prayers for the gifts we have given the children.

Photo of the chicken donated to them wish they are 25 in numbers, After we must have finish and about to go they call on us that we may have a word of Prayer before we leave wish we did and off we go till when next time we may come around again.
