Easy, Thrifty Gift Idea ~ Customized Mason Jar Drinking Glass

It is getting the time of year where we start thinking of end of the school year gifts for teachers.  If you have more than one child in school, that can get spendy rather quickly!  Why not take some of the stress off and make them something one of a kind and personal?  Don’t have a teacher to buy a gift for? How about a friend or bus driver, garbage man, a friend, or even yourself!

You will need

A mason jar style tumbler with straw and lid

Outdoor vinyl

I know I mention my favorite craft tool of all time a lot, but as you can tell, I use her (yes mine is a she) all the time!  If you are into crafting I strongly recommend getting a Silhouette of your own, you will not regret it!  If you don’t have one, find someone close by that can cut the vinyl for you.  You would be surprised how many people are willing to do it for cheap!

I found a package of 4 of these glass jar tumblers at Ross one day.  They even came with the super cute lids and matching straws.  And they were at least half the price of the plastic ones that don’t last very long at Walmart! Score for me!

I couldn’t find the exact ones but found some close ones here.  Or you could get these adorable lids and some plain jars and turn them into cups!

Make sure you use outdoor vinyl because it will last where regular vinyl will not.  Also it is important to hand wash to keep the vinyl from wearing off quicker.

Throw in a bottle of their favorite soda, or even a 12 pack and you will be their favorite!

    Cute idea but you have a typo on your jar. Look closely at the can and the name Dr Pepper, there is no period after Dr. Thus typo. This is a common typo/mistake.
