This is Sam he is my cousin Stephanie’s son, he is so cute! In 2008 he was diagnosed with Crohn’s, and has been a very sick little boy. He has not let that stop him. His family is working hard to find a cure, to not only help little Sam but millions of others.
Sam will be on the radio on Friday morning, June 19, 2009 at 8:30 am Mountain Time to talk about Crohn’s Disease and the upcoming Take Steps Walk in Boise. He will be on KBOI which is 670 AM. If you are not in Boise, you can listen on line a www.kboi.com.
From Sam:
I would like for you to help me raise money for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation so they can help me find a cure. I have Crohn’s Disease and right now I have to take 8 big pills a day. Some of the pills are really big and very hard to swallow. I also have to get my blood drawn almost every month and it hurts and I don’t like to go. It is kind of frustrating to be a kid and be sick. It’s hard to hide it from people when I don’t feel good. I have a really nice doctor and he helps me but I want to find a cure for Crohn’s Disease. Please donate some money to my team!
Thanks! Sam
On June 27, our family will be walking in Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis, the nation’s largest event dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. We have formed a team called TEAM SAM, and we are trying to raisemoney for crucial research that wouldn’t even have been possible a few short years ago. Our personal goal is to raise more than $500.00 for this worthy cause.
More than 1.4 million patients across the country suffer from these painful and unpredictable diseases. Beyond raising money for research, Take Steps brings together the community in a fun and energetic atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to make noise and be heard — raising awareness of these little-known diseases in their community and across the nation.
