They wanted to make it all fancy they were cutting out circles of paper to put on top the drinks for lids.  Then my 9 year old had the idea to just use a cupcake liner instead…. wheels started to turn in my head and I thought WOW that is a great idea to use in the summer when you have a picnic or bbq outside and you want to keep bugs or leaves out of your drink.  Plus it helps you keep track of your own drink, such a simple and easy tip …perfect for summer. You can just use a knife to cut a slit in the bottom of the cupcake or muffin liner or you can use a hole punch and punch a hole in the middle. Place the liner on top of the glass, wrap your hands around it on all edges and press down, this will make the liner form to the shape of you glass and keep it in place.

This is also a fun thing to do if you are having  THEME party, buy cupcake liners in that theme and your drinks instantly look more festive.

    great idea but what about those that crawl??? like sugar ants and such? maybe tape it? cute idea and I like how we can color code them so each person knows which is theirs 🙂
