Little Matthew is out of school for the summer and getting a little bored. So I have been trying to come up with new fun ways for him to learn. One of our favorite games is I Spy with the newspaper ads.
I ask him questions like:
- I spy something you would eat on a hot day……
- I spy a yellow fruit….
- I spy the number that comes after 9….
- I spy the letter p….
- I spy something you use to wash your clothes
He then looks for the items in the newspaper ads, cuts them out and glues them to a paper. He loves this game, and it is something he will actually do for awhile (he has an attention span of about 2 mins).
What fun games or ideas are you doing this summer with your kids?
