It is hot. So hot that I don’t want to go outside. My dog is the opposite. I would think with all the fur they would not want to be in the heat, but she loves to play! Another one of her favorite things is ice. Every time the freezer opens or someone uses the ice dispenser she gets so excited! I decided this was the perfect thing for her. Maybe your dog would enjoy it too!
Get a bowl that is a good size for your dog. Large dogs will need a larger bowl while smaller breeds and puppies will want a smaller bowl. I added a couple of natural dog treats, just small pieces or portions because I didn’t want her to fill up on treats. Small toys would also be a great idea to add. I tried to add them after it set up a bit, but the ice was only frozen on the top! So I chipped into it and added the treats. Some floated, and others sunk which was great so she didn’t get them all at the same time.
Let it set up for several hours or over night. It should slide out of the bowl easily, but if not add turn it upside down and run some hot water over it to help loosen it. That is all. Set it in a shady area to keep it from melting too quickly and let your dog go at it! Dogs will love it!
